Update/Drama Review

Hey everyone! Happy Fall Season!

I think I have a new problem. I have been obsessed with Korean Dramas for a few months now, and I cannot get enough of them! I tend to finish a drama within 4 days, which is crazy, because usually, they have a ton of episodes, and they are about an hour or more long. The newest one I could not wait to come out was My Lovely Liar with Hwang Min-hyun, and I absolutely love it! He is doing an incredible job, as always, and they know how to do romance. It’s perfection! The kiss scene was such a beautiful scene in episode 9, but overall, I loved that episode entirely. If you have not had to chance to check it out, it is a must.

I have also started watching Chinese Dramas, which are on Netflix and Viki, and I love those as well! I recently just finished a show on Netflix called Hidden Love, and let me tell you, it is probably the most incredible show I have ever seen. It is so well written, and the romance between the two characters are just top-notch. The actors did such an amazing job. I want to re-watch it again. I cannot get enough of those two characters. One of my favorite scenes from Hidden Love is the strawberry/car scene. I keep watching it over and over again, I love it. I probably watched it within 3 or 4 days because I could not get enough of the show. It has 25 episodes, but some Chinese Dramas have 30 episodes, like The Princess and the Werewolf, which is another one I watched with the same male lead who was in Hidden Love. I first watched The Princess and the Werewolf and loved it. Then I found out that the male lead was also in Hidden Love, and I thought, “Oh, I have to check this out now,” because I thought he did amazing. All of these dramas have English subtitles by the way. This is basically all I watch right now. I don’t remember the last time I watched something in English.

New Obsession

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to give you guys a quick update on my new obsession right now!

I have been watching a lot of Korean shows on Netflix and I have absolutely fallen in love. They are amazing and every episode captures my attention, especially two that I keep re-watching over again because I cannot get enough.

One of the shows you guys have to check out is Alchemy Of Souls. It is incredible. Not only is the show amazing, but the music matches the scenes perfectly. Also, Netflix has the option to let you can watch it in English if you wish. Go check it out! The cast brings the characters to life, and I honestly get lost in the show. Also, the one male lead who is in the show can sing and came out with a solo album in 2023, which is incredible. Hwang Min Hyun who plays Seo Yul, has an amazing voice, and I have been listening to his music non-stop for the last two weeks. He definitely has talent. I have listened to some of his songs on repeat several times every day (at least 20 times a day), but I can’t get enough. I play it while I am working and I love it. Two of my favorites are Hidden Side and Smile. 🙂 The choreography to Hidden Side is fascinating to watch as well! Check him out if you want!

Anyway, Alchemy of Souls led me to Hwang Min Hyun, and then he led me to another one of his shows called Live On. I also fell in love with that show. It is so captivating, and I sometimes forget I have other things to do. (while watching both shows). I will put the link down below for the Live On show because it is not on Netflix, but you can watch it with English subtitles. I honestly don’t mind watching a show entirely in Korean. But Hwang Min Hyun’s music and shows are my obsession right now. I don’t mind. He is also starring in another show in July, which I am looking forward to seeing!
